Mullion-Cove2I had my 5-year-old granddaughter at the weekend, so we ventured down to the Polurrian Hotel at Mullion as rumour had it that is child and dog-friendly.  The weather was kind, chilly but sunny with sparkling waves crashing on the shore.  We were made very welcome, and the hotel recently added a stunning extension where you can dine, play and relax while gazing out over the cliff top to the sea below.  Mycah and I went for a swim in the pool while my husband took our dog Coco for a cliff top walk around to coastguard cottages to have coffee with friends who live there.

What was really amazing and fabulous for Mum’s/Dad’s and grandparents – two lovely qualified child-minders turned up with crayons and face paints and kept children of all ages occupied for hours!  We chilled out with a chilled beer then Mycah joined us for a scrumptious lunch then back to more play!

Pappy then had 40 winks on a squashy sofa while us girls took Coco for another walk down to the children’s play area and then down to the beach itself.  Much to Mycah’s delight, we rounded off our day with a trip to the Chocolate Factory on the way home!  We all slept really well that night!

So – a great place to buy a holiday home for yourselves and your paying guests!  Great places to eat in the village and you can fish, jetty jump or swim at the cove itself.  World famous beauty spots such as Kynance Cove and Cadgwith also nearby.  What more could you want?
